Humidity off Greers Ferry Lake, hard summer sun, freeze-thaw swings in winter, and years of foot traffic add up — boards cup and split, fasteners back out, railings loosen, and joists start to soften where water sits. We fix all of it, and we build new when a deck is past saving.
On repairs, we replace damaged decking and railing, re-secure or sister failing joists, swap rusted hardware for the right structural fasteners, and shore up the framing so the deck is safe to use again. On new builds, we frame it right from the footings up so it does not become a repair job two summers later.
